KMVL radio operates from its studios located at 102 W. Main Street in Madisonville, Texas. Transmitters are located in Madisonville, Leona, and Huntsville Texas.

Trooper Jimmy Morgan

Sergeant Jimmy R Morgan, has almost 29 years with the Department on Public Safety. Trooper Morgan started his career with the department, as a State Trooper  in Groveton Texas in March 1989, after graduating the B 1988 recruit class in Austin Texas. May of 1991 he transferred to Cameron Texas,  and  remained in Milam County as a State Trooper until transferring to Bryan  as the new Safety Education Trooper on Dec 1st 2008. While in Milam County, Trooper Morgan started a weekly Radio Program at KMIL called ” Let’s Talk Traffic” to educate Texas motorist about traffic , criminal  laws, and Highway Safety. Now after nearly 9 years as a Safety Education Trooper & PIO,  Trooper Morgan has expanded his Talk Radio program to cover most of central Texas.  They include KMIL Radio in Cameron, KRXT Radio in Rockdale, KWHI Radio in Brenham , and KMVL Radio

Trooper Dave Hendry

Sergeant David M. Hendry began his career with the Texas Department of Public Safety on September 18, 2000. After completion of the DPS All Field Recruit School he was then assigned to the Highway Patrol service in Corrigan, Texas.  In November of 2003 he accepted a transfer to Angelina County in Lufkin, Texas.  Trooper Hendry continued to work as a highway patrolman until he transferred to the Safety Education position in February of 2012. Since then his duties consist of providing educational support programs and serving as the public information officer covering eight different counties.

KMVL has been serving Madison County for over 20 years. Beginning as a stand alone AM station, and building to a translator AM station in Huntsville, (both on 1220 AM). These two transmitters primarily carry Adult Standards music.In 1998 a 13,000 watt FM station on 100.5 FM was built which now carries Classic Country.In 2014 a FM translator was added to the AM line up of transmitters, broadcasting on 98.9.These are the people who make it all happen on both stations!
